According to God's creation plan, it is not possible to have an ideal society. This was never possible earlier nor is it possible today. Moreover, this is not desired by God Almighty. Why is this so? This is for the purpose of test. If there is an ideal society, conditions for test will not remain. In society, there should be somebody to make you angry, provoke you, make you incur loss or go against you. If there is an ideal society, God's entire system will collapse. God wants the society to always have elements which put you to the test. Those who speak of an ideal society are wrong. That goes against God's scheme of things. God wants a society in which someone makes you angry, makes you incur losses, causes damage to you and is dishonest to you. When all this happens, you will be tested on the response that you give.
Can the concept of Islamization of government be ever possible anywhere in the world? In the ideal sense, it is impossible. Islam never speaks of an ideal state. In Islam there is no ideal state or ideal system. This is a concept that people have developed. An ideal character is possible. An individual can make himself ideal. But you can never make the society ideal. There will always be some or the other shortcoming. When you have many people come together, how will you judge everyone by the same yardstick? People who speak about an ideal state of Islam are completely wrong. There is no basis for this concept. They speak of an ideal society, which is totally wrong. There was never an ideal society in existence nor is it possible in the future. Our books portray that the society at the time of the Prophet and the Pious Caliphs was ideal. But this is totally wrong. It is not possible at all.
